Scam Warning
Protect yourself from people falsely using the Data Matrix name.
Data Matrix will never ask you to pay a fee to apply for a job, secure a tender, or receive a contract. If someone asks you for money in our name, it is a scam.
From time to time, fraudsters impersonate legitimate companies to trick people out of money or personal information. This page explains how to recognise and report anyone falsely claiming to represent Data Matrix.
How to recognise a scam
- A request for payment, "processing fees", "registration fees" or airtime in exchange for a job, tender or contract.
- Messages from free email accounts (for example gmail, yahoo or outlook) claiming to be Data Matrix. We only email from addresses ending in @datamatrix.co.ls.
- Pressure to act urgently, or to keep the arrangement secret.
- Requests for your banking details, passwords, or one-time PINs.
- Offers that seem too good to be true, or that you didn't apply for.
How to verify us
If you're unsure whether a message is really from us, contact Data Matrix directly using the official details on this website before doing anything else:
- Email: marketsolutions@datamatrix.co.ls
- Phone: +266 22325470
- Address: Lower Thetsane, Maseru, Lesotho
If you've been targeted
Do not send money or share personal or banking details. Keep any messages as evidence, report the matter to the Lesotho Mounted Police Service, and let us know at marketsolutions@datamatrix.co.ls so we can help warn others.
