How we survey

Every number we publish carries its source, method and margin of error.

A poll is only useful if you know who was asked. We draw samples to represent Lesotho by region, urban and rural setting, age and sex, then supervise the fieldwork and check it back before anything is analysed.

When a budget lands, a fuel price moves or a campaign starts, a flash poll gives a fast read on one question. When a decision needs the full picture, a national survey answers many.

What we do

Three kinds of work.

Surveys and polling

Asking Lesotho, properly.

Household and individual surveys, quick polls on the issue of the week, and opinion polling on parties, leaders, policy and brands. Designed, fielded and analysed by one team.

health centres and hospitals whose clinical records were brought up to date

Case study: health data

Clearing a five-year backlog of clinical data.

Clinical records from more than 118 health centres and hospitals had built up over five years. We assembled a multidisciplinary team that cleared the backlog and delivered a full set of statistical tables and an epidemiological profile for the Kingdom of Lesotho.

The work laid the base for national analysis of health data at scale.

Team: nurses, epidemiologists, statisticians, software engineers, database designers, data clerks
